Suggestions for the Year of the Eucharist.
Two articles published by the Cloyne Commission for Liturgical Formation.
· The first titled: 'On Sunday's
Eucharist' comes from the Theology Forum of this Commission. It sets out
a plan for diocesan activity to support the celebration of Sundays' Eucharist
in every parish. This plan is based on Pope John Paul II's teaching about celebrating
Sunday. This teaching and tradition of the Church is presented by John Paul
in his 1998 Apostolic Letter: 'Keeping the Lord's Day Holy.'
· The second article addresses the making and sustenance of new Roman
Catholic Christians and how the Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults, 1972, is fast being understood by the Church in Ireland
as being 'the most appropriate framework for Christian Initiation'.
